Ayoku, which means “joy remains” in Yoruba, is a healing retreat center that invites social justice leaders and people of color to reclaim their joy. Leaders are deeply deserving and in need of rest, as they often experience extreme levels of stress and exposure to social and racial trauma. Our mission is to bring joy and revival in a nurturing environment that fosters healing, self-discovery, and the reclamation of one’s humanity. This is a space of refuge where we honor the tireless efforts of leaders – a place of harmony that champions personal and collective growth.
