Alex Haley, author of “Roots,” was one of the founders of our company. The phrase “Find the good – and praise it” was printed at the bottom of his pale yellow personal stationery. It predated his connection to Journal Communications, the small startup in which he became an investor in 1988 along with his photographer friend and fellow Pulitzer Prize-winner Robin Hood. But his words perfectly fit our growing business of telling stories about places and people with distinctive photography and compelling editorial content and was soon adopted as a company mission statement. Through our Livability Media, Farm Flavor Media and Travel Publishing divisions we create custom content programs for clients nationwide, reaching target audiences for relocation, economic development, travel and consumer-facing agricultural content.
