One Generation Away is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Crhis and Elaine Whitney in 2013. OneGenAway rescues high-quality, surplus food from grocery stores, restaurants, farms, and caterers and redistributes that food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. We do this through our Mobile Food Pantry and our Doorstep Pantry. Our Mobile Pantry allows individuals and families in need to drive through and receive a grocery cart full of groceries for free - no questions asked. The Doorstep Pantry is a new home-delivery program, where those within our service area are able to request a delivery of nonperishable foods online, and it arrives on their doorstep that week.
