Event Description: “An Hour with an Attorney” is sponsored by the Tennessee Small Business Development Center at Middle Tennessee State University (TSBDC-MTSU). Chris Sloan, Co-Chair – Emerging Companies Team, with the Law Firm, Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, will lead the Workshop. Mr. Sloan will provide an overview of frequently asked business development related questions including: legal structure, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements, intellectual property basics, employment law basics, information privacy, contracts, shareholder/operating agreements, securities law basics, equity incentives, how to effectively work with an Attorney, and more. This is your opportunity to get a primer on this very important aspect of starting, expanding, or improving the operating performance of your business. This class will be held on March 7, 2013 from 11:00 – 12:00 noon at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, 3050 Medical Center Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
