Event Description: The CALA Summer Language Institute is coming! The Center for Accelerated Language Acquisition of MTSU focuses on using methods based on research as to how the brain learns best. Infused with methods like TPR (Total Physical Response) and TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling), the resulting class is engaging, natural, and fun. Languages include French, Spanish, Arabic, Latin, and Chinese, and for teachers there is a methodology class in July. * Dates: June 17-21 [Arabic I , French I , Latin I , Spanish I ] * June 24-28 [Arabic II, French II , Latin I , Spanish II ] * July 15-19 [Arabic I , Chinese I , French I , Spanish I ] * July 22-26 [Arabic I , Chinese I , French II , Spanish II ] * Not all languages have two levels * Language classes: 9:00 AM -12:30 PM Monday - Friday * Methodology Class: 1:30 PM-3:30 PM Monday-Friday This methodology class is free. This class includes a language at the appropriate cost listed below. * Location: MTSU Honors College * Prices: $300 For language classes. 50% off additional language classes after your first. * $200 for MTSU faculty and staff. * $150 for MTSU students. * Must be 13 years of age or older. * Register at http://acceleratedacquisition.com/
