Event Description: The inaugural Rutherford Romp 5k Run/ Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run has been announced for Saturday, October 5, 2013. Runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels are invited to participate in this event. All proceeds from The Rutherford Romp will benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Rutherford County, Inc. The Rutherford Romp 5k is a timed event set to start and finish at Gateway Island in Murfreesboro, located behind Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. The 5k will begin at 7:30 A.M. with the 1 Mile Fun Run to immediately follow. The 5k entry fee is $25, which includes a t-shirt and goody bag. The 1 Mile Fun Run entry fee is $20 and open to all ages and participants will receive a t-shirt. To Register, visit www.RutherfordRomp.com
