Event Description: Join us for an informal “Community Conversation” over coffee and dessert to explore how we can strengthen our community by supporting the employment of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Tennessee Works team, Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, and Murfreesboro Planning Committee are hosting a community conversation focused on increasing employment for youth with disabilities in Murfreesboro.

A community conversation is a creative way to meet new people and explore innovative solutions to local issues that matter most. We’ll think collectively about how we can utilize the strengths, resources, and opportunities in Murfreesboro to ensure that our friends and neighbors with disabilities can access meaningful employment opportunities and contribute their gifts in the workplace. Your voice is needed in this conversation! There’s no cost, nothing to bring, and no commitment after the event.

We need folks representing every segment of our community including: Business, Government, Educators, Disability Service Providers, Non-Profits, Faith Communities, and/or Individuals with Disabilities and their Families. Monday, August 26th, 6-8 p.m. Carriage Lane Inn 337 E Burton St. Murfreesboro, TN 37130 Register at: http://murfreesborocommunityconversation.splashthat.com
