Event Description: Get up, come out, and chase those winter-time blahs away with a really fun experience that you can do any time of year. Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices where participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. Instruction will be provided by the Middle Tennessee Geocachers Club. Learn the basics, how to get started, and what resources are available. A GPS or smartphone is required however a limited amount of equipment will be available for loan. Inside instruction will last approximately 45 minutes and then you will have a chance to practice outside as an option. Registration required.


Directions:
Wilderness Station, located in Barfield Crescent Park. Exit 81A towards Shelbyville on I-24. Turn right on Veterans Parkway, then left into the park. The Wilderness station is in the back of the park.
