Event Description: 2011 National Women Build Week May 1st-8th For those women who "would rather build than clean", on Friday, May 6, 2011, Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity will provide a Women Build Volunteer Day in recognition of National Women Build Week, sponsored by Lowes. During this celebration, over 250 Habitats affiliates, countless women, and hundreds of Lowes stores across the nation will be participating in extensive hands-on opportunities that will engage women in the construction of affordable new homes for a hard working, low-income families. For your convenience, clinics will be offered at both the Murfreesboro and Smyrna Lowe's locations the same day and time. All participants must be at least 18 years of age. We have pink Women Build t-shirts for sale with our motto "I'd Rather Build It Than Clean It" on the back for $12.00. Shirts my be purchased by call Terri at 890-5877 x4 or visiting the Rutherford County Habitat ReStore. All proceeds for the shirts sales go to fund a Women Build house.

Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit, non-denominational Christian housing ministry, who seeks to eliminate substandard housing by building simple, decent houses alongside low-income families in need of affordable housing. Homes are built by RCHFH partner families and community volunteers. After a home is completed, it is sold to the partner family at no profit with zero-interest mortgage.
