Event Description: Free Labor Day Weekend Event. Kicks off with a Meet and Greet Reception on September 4 at 6 pm at the Patterson Park Community Center to honor host of 10 years: Lynnette Cole, Miss USA 2000. On September 5, 2015 at 4 pm, a talent contest designed just for kids ages 7-17 with several categories such as dance, art, music, modeling, drama, and instrumental acts will compete for an overall prize of $500. All contestants receive a gift. Sponsored by Tennessee Arts Commission, City of Murfreesboro, Customer Care Inc, and private contributors. A great family event! Generation for Creation is a program for youth who are interested in strengthening their visual and performing art skills and are willing to give back to the community. We teach young artists that they should be reward for their talent since art may be a career choice for the participants. Former Alumni: Colton and Schyler Dixon, American Idol Finalist. We believe in exemplifying leadership for the arts.
