Event Description: Free Spay Event, Through Rutherford County PAWS* Help your furry pets and our community by coming in to Rutherford County Pet Adoption and Welfare Services (PAWS) today! Now in effect, any resident of Rutherford County can come in to Rutherford County PAWS to apply for their female, furry friends of any breed, to receive a free spay surgery, including a free rabies shot. There are no restrictions! THIS PROGRAM IS OFFERED UNTIL ALL 1,000 SLOTS ARE FILLED. Previously only offered to cats and pit bulls of low income households, this new program is providing a great service to any female pet breed belonging to a county resident, in addition to a wonderful opportunity to really help the community. To receive the service, the owner of the pet(s) must first come in to Rutherford County PAWS to fill out an application, bringing a driver’s license or other proof of residency.
