Event Description: On Monday, April 18, from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m., the Town of Smyrna will host a community meeting to discuss the ongoing Smyrna Major Thoroughfare, Bicycle, and Pedestrian Plan. The meeting will take place at Smyrna Town Centre, 100 Sam Ridley Parkway. When finalized, the plan will be Smyrna’s guide for planning new roads and road improvements for the next 20 years. In addition to roadway improvements, this plan update includes greenways, trails, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, and major sidewalk connections. The purpose of the April 18 community meeting is to allow Smyrna residents and businesses to review the draft plan and provide feedback. Team members will present the methodologies used in creating the plan, discuss the current road network and how it is expected to perform over the next 20 years, considering population and employment growth projections. Everyone is encouraged to attend and share their thoughts.
