Event Description: As part of our community outreach and education mission, the Master Gardeners of Rutherford County are hosting their 7th Annual Fall Garden Extravaganza on September 24th at the Lane Agri Park, 315 John Rice Blvd., Murfreesboro, TN. This one-day program is designed to teach individuals and families to be more self sufficient and sustainable by learning skills that can help them improve their gardening success, cook healthier meals utilizing home grown vegetables, preserve food to save money, and other home lawn and garden skills. The cost for the event is only $5 for adults, children 12 and under are free. Proceeds will help support scholarships via the DeWayne Trail 4-H Scholarship Fund. Guest speakers include: Tammy Algood (Volunteer Gardener Host), Mike Berkley (GroWild, Inc.), Kevin Guenther (The Sustainable Living Guild) and Mitchell Mote (UT Extension Agent)
