Event Description: On Thursday, September 29 StoneCrest Medical Center will host a free prostate screening to encourage early detection and prevention. The PSA test (prostate specific antigen), a simple blood test, and digital rectal exam will be offered. When these two tests are used together, prostate cancer can be detected even in men who have no symptoms of cancer. Mark Dickinson, M.D., urologist with Urology Associates, will be performing free digital rectal exams and is available to discuss the importance of prostate cancer screening, the impact of prostate cancer on American men and the range of available treatment options.
